Pagans In The Pub is normally held at 8pm on the first Tuesday evening of each month, in the Function Room of the Queens Arms Hotel, 88 Wright Street, Adelaide. These meetings are free to members of the Pagan Alliance (bring your membership card!) and non members can come along for a gold coin donation at the door. Sometimes we have to fit around other bookings (March for example) and then the meeting is on a Wednesday, so check this website for updates!
Pagans In The Pub is an event that was set up by Pagan Alliance SA Inc. in 1998 (originally the Pagan Forum), so that its members could explore and learn about different Pagan paths. It rapidly gained a large following and has evolved into a night of guest speakers, practical demonstrations of ritual techniques, and group participation in magickal exercises.
Approximately 50 people now attend these meetings, and our guest speakers come from a variety of backgrounds, such as Traditional Wicca, The Asatru Kindred, Druidry, and Ceremonial Magick. Previous topics have included, "Who and What are the Gods and Goddesses", "Spells and Magic", "The Role of the Witch in Modern Society", "Rites of Passage", and "Ritual Tools".
If you would like to enjoy a meal and some socialising before the Forum begins, just come along from 6:30, join the Pagan Table, and partake of the wonderful food!

Trance and Transformation
Entering a trance state is a religious experience that is found in many societies, and its goal is to have a direct and transformative relationship with divinity. And the Hindu notion of pilgrimage is a journey from the mundane world to the sacred centre, which also involves an encounter with a given deity. Dr Carl Vadivella Belle will relate all of this to the Hindu festival of Thaipusam, which involves trance, bodily mortification, and the bearing of ritual burdens.

This will be another workshop-
